Denver and Colorado Springs, with respective populations of about 555,000 and 361,000, are two of the state’s largest metro cities. Denver is situated about one hour north of Air Force Academy, while Colorado Springs is about 20 minutes south. Northern Colorado Springs has many new and established subdivisions that offer a variety of housing types for military personnel, cadets and civilians.
